Also I think you mean the Travelodge at Bucksburn- there is no Premier Inn there. Adding to my comment above the 40mph drivers drive at 40mph on their speedos so about 35-37mph 😳I try to avoid the A96 as it’s so dangerous and go via the Lecht instead. It badly needs the town bypasses as you suggest but better still full dualling. Just my opinion as a local.

I can only assume that you don’t drive the A96 on a regular basis? The frustration on a recent journey from Inverurie to Llanbryde at noon on Sunday was entirely typical - immediately I left Inverurie we were crawling behind cars doing 40 all the way there and back. They were completely oblivious of the queues behind them. Frustrated drivers resorted to dangerous overtaking and the slow coaches speed up on the overtaking lanes further reducing the numbers that can get past. There
